This site is owned and operated by SAMG Inc., the operating company behind the consulting work of Dave Scott. This page explains what information I collect through samginc.com, why I collect it, and how I handle it.
Who I am
Dave Scott is a business marketing consultant. SAMG Inc. is the Illinois company that handles contracts, invoicing, and site operations. Any reference to "I" on this site refers to Dave Scott. Any reference to the company refers to SAMG Inc.
What I collect
I only collect information you choose to give me through the intake form on the Marketing Review page. That form asks for your name, business name, email address, phone number if you choose to share it, and a short description of what is going on in your business. I do not sell or rent this information to anyone.
This site loads Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-P32TG5M6), which in turn loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-GB2CTWVD4S) and the Meta pixel (ID 626437071624612) so I can measure which pages help visitors and whether ads I run bring the right people here. These tools receive standard web analytics data (page URL, referrer, general device and browser information, and an anonymized IP for GA4). If you don't want to be measured, browser-level controls, private browsing, or tracker-blocking extensions will stop them from loading. Full details are on the Cookies page.
There is no session replay, no click or scroll recording, and no advertising tools beyond the Meta pixel managed through GTM.
Why I collect it
The intake form exists so I can respond to you personally, understand the situation before we talk, and decide whether I am the right person to help. If we start working together, that same information becomes part of the working file for the engagement.
Where it is stored
Form submissions are stored in a secure database managed by SAMG Inc. and mirrored to my email so I see them the same day. The database is protected by row-level security policies that restrict access to the operating account. Email delivery is handled by a transactional email provider used only for messages you or I initiate.
How long it is kept
If we do not end up working together, I keep the intake record for up to twenty-four months so I can pick up the conversation if you come back later, then it is deleted. If we do work together, the record is kept for as long as the engagement is active and for a reasonable period after for tax and accounting purposes.
Who else sees it
Nobody outside of SAMG Inc. sees your submission by default. I do not share intake details with agencies, vendors, or partners. If an engagement ever requires a specialist, I ask you first and only share what is needed to do the work.
Email you receive from me
If you fill out the intake form, you get a confirmation email and a personal reply from me. I do not add you to a newsletter or a drip sequence without your consent. Any transactional email includes an unsubscribe link that stops future messages of that type.
Your choices
You can ask me to show you what I have on file, correct it, or delete it. Send that request through the Marketing Review form and I will handle it personally. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific data rights, tell me which rights you are exercising and I will respond in line with them.
Children
This site is intended for business owners and operators. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.
Changes
If this policy changes, I update the date at the top and post the new version here. Material changes will be described in plain language rather than buried in edits.
