These terms cover your use of samginc.com. If we go on to work together, the written engagement agreement I send you governs the consulting relationship and takes precedence over anything on this page.

Who runs this site

samginc.com is operated by SAMG Inc., an Illinois company. Dave Scott is the consultant behind the work. Any reference to "I" on this site refers to Dave Scott. References to the company refer to SAMG Inc.

What the site is for

This site exists to explain how I work, answer common questions from business owners, and let you reach me through the intake form. Nothing on this site is a proposal, a quote, or a binding offer. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice. It is educational content written from experience.

Using the site

You may read, share, and reference articles on this site with attribution. You may not scrape the site to train a model, republish full pages, or use the content to imply endorsement from me or from SAMG Inc. Automated abuse, security probing, and interference with normal operation are not permitted.

The intake form

When you use the Marketing Review form, tell me what is actually going on. Rough numbers are fine. If you send information that belongs to someone else, you are confirming you have the right to share it. I treat everything you send as described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The writing, structure, frameworks, and visual design on this site belong to SAMG Inc. and to Dave Scott. Third-party marks referenced on the site belong to their owners and are used only to describe the tools and platforms I work with.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. I work hard to keep it accurate, but I do not warrant that every page is current, complete, or free of error, and I do not guarantee any particular business result from reading it. Advice you act on before we have an engagement is advice you act on at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SAMG Inc. and Dave Scott are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site. Any direct liability related to your use of the site is limited to one hundred United States dollars. Consulting engagements are governed by their own written agreements, which set their own liability terms.

Third-party links

Some articles link to outside sources so you can verify a claim or read further. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for what they publish.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to this site is subject to the courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

Changes

If these terms change, I update the date at the top and post the new version here. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
